A single-family residence for a family of five is designed on the slope of the Nemunas River in Druskininkai, Lithuania. The elongated site dictated a clear architectural composition, dividing the building program into two distinct volumes.
The first volume accommodates the garage, a multi-car carport, and workshop spaces. Between this structure and the main residence, a landscaped courtyard creates a transitional outdoor space, with a central pedestrian path leading to the main entrance.
The main residence is a single-story building organized around a rational and highly functional floor plan. It is divided into clearly defined zones: a children’s bedroom wing, a separate parents’ suite, a central service core containing utility spaces, and a generous open-plan living area. The kitchen, dining room, and living room form one continuous space filled with natural light and framed by a large glazed façade overlooking the Nemunas Valley. A home office and a fitness room are located at opposite ends of the house. Symmetrically positioned internal courtyards introduce daylight deep into the building while strengthening the relationship between the interior and the surrounding landscape.
Above the main volume, a small elevated pavilion—nicknamed the “Birdhouse”—provides a secluded retreat for stargazing and quiet contemplation.
Along the southern façade, a spacious terrace extends the length of the main glazed elevation and incorporates an infinity swimming pool. From the terrace, exposed concrete staircases descend the hillside toward the Nemunas River, creating a sequence of resting platforms along the way. At the bottom of the slope, a fire pit area and a private pier provide direct access to the river.
The buildings are constructed using insulated three-layer precast concrete wall panels manufactured by INHUS. The façades combine smooth white fair-faced concrete with timber slat cladding, resulting in a restrained, timeless architectural expression. The architecture is deliberately minimalist and monolithic, with exceptional attention devoted to the integration of technical and aesthetic elements into the exposed concrete structure, both inside and out.
Achieving this level of precision required close collaboration across the entire project team. Electrical installations, recessed skirting boards, curtain pockets, lighting details, and other interior elements had to be fully coordinated during the design phase and incorporated into the structural concrete before construction began. The cast-in-place concrete roof slab conceals the mechanical ventilation ducts, electrical systems, recessed luminaires, curtain recesses, and integrated LED lighting, preserving the purity of the exposed concrete surfaces.
The project also includes a custom-designed overflow concrete swimming pool carefully integrated into the site’s changing topography. Particular attention was paid to façade detailing, including monolithic concrete window sills, seamless transitions between different exterior finishes and floor levels, and numerous custom junctions, all contributing to a clean, coherent, and uncompromising architectural expression.

Druskininkuose, Nemuno šlaite, projektuojamas penkių asmenų šeimos gyvenamasis namas. Pailga sklypo forma padiktavo aiškią architektūrinę kompoziciją – pastato programa suskaidyta į du atskirus tūrius.
Pirmasis tūris skirtas automobilių garažams, kelių automobilių stoginei ir dirbtuvėms. Tarp šio tūrio ir gyvenamojo namo suformuota žalia erdvė-vidinis kiemas, per kurią centruotas pėsčiųjų takas veda į pagrindinį įėjimą.
Gyvenamasis namas – vieno aukšto, racionalaus plano. Jis suskirstytas į aiškias funkcines zonas: atskirą vaikų miegamųjų bloką, tėvų miegamųjų bloką, pagalbinių patalpų branduolį bei pagrindinę gyvenamąją erdvę. Virtuvė, valgomasis ir svetainė sujungti į vientisą, šviesos pripildytą erdvę, atsiveriančią per didžiulę stiklo vitriną į Nemuno slėnį. Namo galuose suplanuoti darbo ir sporto kambariai. Simetrišką kompoziciją papildo vidiniai kiemeliai, kurie į pastato centrą įleidžia natūralią šviesą ir sustiprina ryšį su aplinka.
Virš pagrindinio tūrio suprojektuotas nedidelis antras aukštas – „inkilas“, skirtas žvaigždžių stebėjimui ir ramiam poilsiui.
Pietinėje namo pusėje, palei pagrindinę stiklo vitriną, įrengta erdvi terasa su baseinu. Nuo jos betoniniai laiptai leidžiasi šlaitu link Nemuno, pakeliui suformuojant poilsio aikšteles. Šlaito apačioje numatyta laužavietė ir lieptas ant upės.
Pastatai projektuojami iš trisluoksnių betonino sienų (INHUS). Fasadams pasirinktas baltas, lygus atviras betonas, derinamas su medžio lamelių apdaila. Visa architektūra pasižymi minimalizmu, lakoniška forma ir itin precizišku detalių sprendimu. Su visa komanda didelis dėmesys buvo skirtas tam, kaip išlaikyti vientisą atviro betono estetiką integruojant visus inžinerinius bei estetinius elementus tiek fasade, tiek interjere. Tam visi projektavimo darbai tokie kaip elektros instaliacija, įgilintos grindjuostės bei kiti įvairūs būsimo interjero sprendimai turėjo būti suplanuoti iš anksto. Betono perdangoje paslėptos rekuperacijos ortakių trasos, elektros instaliacija, integruoti įgilinti šviestuvai, nišos užuolaidoms ir LED apšvietimui. Suprojektuotas betoninis baseinas su persipylimu kintančio šlaito konfigūracijoje. Fasadų sprendiniuose sspręstos funkcionalios betoninės palangės, skirtingų dangų lygių suvedimo vietos ir kitos detalės, leidžiančios išlaikyti švarią, vientisą architektūrinę išraišką.
