Very often, when tasked with creating an interior for a newly acquired home, I encounter the problem that the existing layout does not align with the future resident’s needs. Spaces are often arranged irrationally, and certain crucial interior scale decisions are not well thought out, resulting in the underutilization of the full potential of the square footage and limiting more interesting exploration. Therefore, it is crucial to start designing the interior before purchasing a property – as adjustments can still be made to the construction process according to individual preferences.
In this case, the concept of the apartment had to be reworked after construction. We transformed a space originally divided into two small rooms totaling 40 square meters into a single, versatile area. The client prioritized a minimalist aesthetic, bright spaces, and the integration of items like a table or a bedroom into wall cabinets, allowing for space transformation as needed. Microcement, birch plywood, oak parquet, and painted MDF were used for finishing touches.

Labai dažnai gavus užduotį sukurti interjerą ką tik įsigytam naujos statybos būstui susiduriu su problema, jog esamas išplanavimas visiškai neatitinka būsimo gyventojo poreikių. Erdvės dažnai būna išdėstytos neracionaliai, neapgalvojami tam tikri svarbūs interjero mastelio sprendimai – dėl to neišnaudojamas visas kvadratūros potencialas ir apribojamos įdomesnės paieškos. Todėl labai svarbu interjero projektą pradėti kurti dar prieš įsigijant būstą statomam objekte – kadangi tuomet dar galima pasikoreguoti statybų eigą pagal save.
Šiuo atveju, buto koncepciją teko pertvarkyti jau po statybų – ir iš į 40 kv. m. sutalpintų 2 nedidelių kambariukų – plotą persiorganizavom į vieną besitransformuojančią erdvę. Užsakovui buvo svarbu turėti daug minimalizmo estetikos, šviesios erdvės, o tokius dalykus kaip stalą ar miegamojo lovą integruoti į sienines spintas ir esant poreikiui erdvę transformuoti. Apdailai naudotas mikrocementas, beržo fanera, ąžuolo parketas, dažytas mdf.
