The apartment is located in the heart of Kaunas, on Laisvės Avenue, in a residential building designed by architect Sprindienė. However, the original layout did not meet the clients’ needs, and the space was therefore substantially reorganized.

Instead of the fragmented open-plan arrangement, a clearer functional zoning strategy was introduced. A private bedroom and home office block was created and separated from the main living area by a service volume incorporating built-in wardrobes and a bookshelf. The open living area accommodates the kitchen and lounge, while the bathroom was enlarged at the expense of the original kitchen footprint.

To preserve the sense of openness characteristic of the initial layout and to maintain the flow of natural light, glass blocks were incorporated into the partition of the home office, allowing daylight to penetrate deeper into the interior. The overall design language is rooted in minimalism, complemented by subtle references to Midcentury and Space Age aesthetics.

Butas įsikūręs pačiame Kauno centre, Laisvės alėjoje, architektės Sprindienės projektuoto daugiabučio pastate. Tačiau pirminis buto išplanavimas neatitiko užsakovų poreikių, todėl erdvė buvo iš esmės perorganizuota.

Vietoje išskaidyto laisvo plano suformuotas aiškesnis funkcinis zonavimas: sukurtas uždaras miegamojo ir darbo kambario blokas, nuo bendrosios erdvės atskirtas aptarnaujančiu tūriu, kuriame integruota spinta ir knygų lentyna. Bendrojoje erdvėje palikta svetainės ir virtuvės zona, o virtuvės sąskaita padidintas sanitarinis mazgas.

Siekiant išsaugoti pirminiam planui būdingą atvirumo pojūtį ir natūralios šviesos sklaidą, darbo kambario pertvaroje panaudoti stiklo blokeliai, kurie praleidžia dienos šviesą į vidines erdves. Interjere vyrauja minimalistinė estetika, papildyta subtiliomis Midcentury ir Space Age stilistikos nuorodomis.
