The city centers are full of abandoned industrial buildings. These structures are commonly transformed into coworking spaces, offices, and residential apartments. However, the rooftop areas could also be exploited to acquire new meanings and become innovative examples. In this concept, the rooftop of the former Kaunas Radio Factory becomes a new floor, which space is designed from modular wooden construction opening the most beautiful panoramas in the city.

This coworking space is dedicated to natural recharge, recreation, and relaxation. We are used to work in artificial spaces the whole week and relax in nature only after work or on weekends. However, a working place could also be set up “in nature”, thus the concept focuses on greenery, vegetation, and open rooftop terraces. The idea of coworking space is based on Shinrin-Yoku, a forest bathing in Japanese. It’s a mindful being in nature which recharges all vital systems, relaxes, soothes, concentrates the mind, and removes tension. All the senses, seeing, color, smell, sound, touch are important here, therefore all the spaces are full with vegetation.

An interior is minimal and ascetic to avoid overloading your thoughts — for nature to act. It’s dominated by light tones of colors, concrete, and wood. The coworking space is both open and closed with individual creative studios and open-plan working spaces designed.
